All this information was found on the bottom of the gateway router. The only way I could access the configuration on my gateway router was to connect directly to the router with an Ethernet cable and laptop, and then enter the URL for the router and special access code. The custom service I created for the port forwarding directs that traffic to my Netgear WAP. If you are Moderate, you can only connect to Moderate and Strict. Why is the NAT type important? Basically, if are an Open NAT, you can connect to all other NAT types (Open, Moderate, and Strict). Between server issues and my Moderate NAT type, I was unable to get into any matches except War mode.
Edit: Found a great site that explains all the NAT stuff and why Open NAT gives you the best performance ( ).Ī few days ago, I posted a story about my difficulties finding matches with my NAT type set to Moderate.
